About the Founder

April is the founder, curator, and maker behind Poppy & Pearl Provisions.  Each product offered is either thoughtfully hand-crafted or carefully chosen with the intention of offering beautiful, elevated experiences rooted in nature.

Her approach is simple: to make everyday life feel a little more beautiful and more meaningful without excess.  She believes in living well within your means, choosing thoughtfully, buying less but better, and finding richness in the things that cannot be measured by more.

She has a deep appreciation for texture, craftsmanship, and the quiet luxury of beautiful things - the coolness of natural fibers on bare skin, tender and creamy toro dissolving on your tongue, vintage built-in bookcases, and the inviting smell of rain during a central Texas drought.  But to April, luxury has never been about having more, it is about noticing more:  good food shared slowly with loved ones, color that inspires, extra stitches on a garment that make you smile, music that speaks to your soul & moves your body, and time spent outside beneath the sun or moon, feet on the ground & blades of grass between your toes.

April is an Army combat veteran, a single mother, and by her own admission, something of a walking contradiction:  equal parts pragmatic & romantic, disciplined & curious, grounded & always dreaming of a better world for our future.

Poppy & Pearl Provisions is a reflection of all those things:  a collection created & curated with intention, inspired by nature & the textures, rituals, and simple luxuries that make life feel full.  Beautiful things, thoughtfully chosen.  Nothing more than you need.  Nothing less than you love.
